Your facial oil questions answered

Your facial oil questions answered

We always hear many questions regarding how and when you should use your facial oils. Here are your top questions answered!!
1. Should you apply oil before or after moisturiser?
Skincare products are best applied from thinnest to thickest or water based to oil based.
Depending on which products you use, application should generally follow this order:
✔️ Cleanser
✔️ Serum
✔️ Lotion
✔️ Regular Moisturiser
✔️ Facial Oil
As you can see, facial oils are the last step of your skincare routine.
If you used a facial oil step before a water-based product such as a moisturiser, the water-based product wouldn't penetrate your skin as effectively.
2. Can you use oil both morning and night?
Facial oils are best used daily when they're most easily absorbed: at night.
There is, however, one exception: if you have dry skin, you may benefit from adding a few drops of facial oil to your morning routine to layer under your makeup.
3. Does oil replace serum?
Facial serums and oils are two very different products that offer your skin unique benefits.
A serum is much lighter in texture and should be one of the first products to use in your skincare routine after washing your face.
A facial serum is a lightweight liquid moisturiser that penetrates deep to deliver active ingredients into your skin.
Facial oils are much heavier than serums and are designed to help lock in moisture and prevent water loss, which can contribute to dry and cracked skin.
